Jen's #76- Make a Vision Board

Being the artsy, fartsy Jen that I am, I have always loved cutting out random things from magazines and making collages. I can remember as early as 11 years old, cutting things out and tacking them to my corkboard or gluing it on the cover of a notebook and once I even glued some clippings on a little wooden table that my boombox (or CD player) sat on. haha. I haven't made a "vision board" in a while. I truly believe it is therapeutic and inspiring! I think it is not only helpful, but necessary to visualize what you want in your life. EVERYONE should do this at one point in their lives! It's the best way to visualize because its not just a dream in your head, its on paper that you can look at EVERYDAY! My board is anything from pics of what I want, quotes that inspire me, qualities that I aspire for and anything that reminds me of who I want to be and where I want to go! I think it is the PERFECT start to this year and conquering "THE LIST" that we are embarking on!

One of quotes on the board -"Trust what gives you pleasure. Trust your emotions. If you love something but can't explain why, thats enough".....right next to a clipping that says "Grab life by the balls" :)
Of course I had to jazz up the border of it with feathers and added some rhinestones here and there :). What can I say, I am a sucker for some flair! I was probably a drag queen in my last life!

 Lovey,  Jen

Liz's vision board

This vision board, for me, is more about what I did NOT have last year and what I want to have this year. I used taks (is that spelled right) and tape instead of gluing things on because I feel like things are going to change as I fulfill some of the things I am "visioning".

One of the more important things I have on the board is job and money related. Both things that I didn't have in 2010.

There are a couple fortune cookie fortunes that I've had for a while. One of them says, "God can heal a broken heart, but He needs all the pieces." Another one says, "It only gets better when YOU get better." The third one is the regular you'll overcome some obstacles. blah blah blah. haha! but for some reason I kept it, so it means something to me, whatever that may be.

The other important thing on my board that I want to have this year is good health. In all senses: mind, body and spirit. I've recently started eating some things that I never thought I would, but they are healthy and actually taste pretty good. Ever since I can remember I've been wearing the same type of clothes, wearing my make up the same, and so on. This year is a time for change!!! I have this vision board on my wall right when I walk in my room so I can see it every day!

Good idea, Jen!!
